The ALS Charity Golf Classic is ALS Society of Canada’s longest-running event to support our mission.

We are honoured to provide golfers with the chance to see all that Angus Glen has to offer as the tournament will take place on the north course.

Angus Glen is known as the host of Canada’s most prestigious golf events such as the 2002 and 2007 Canadian Open, as well as for their phenomenal service. Every year since opening, they have been the recipient of the Best Service Award in Canada at a public facility.

The beautifully groomed greens of Angus Glen Golf Club were met by more than 160 golfers who participated in the ALS Charity Golf Classic in 2011. Golfers, along with 200 dinner guests helped to raise more than $85,000 for ALS. For the past four years the ALS Canada Charity Golf Classic has been sold out, raising more than $365,000.

ALS can strike anyone. It can hit at any time regardless of age, sex or ethnic origin. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a rapidly progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that causes motor neuron degeneration. As the neurons die, people with ALS progressively lose muscle control, making actions that we take for granted such as walking, talking, eating and even smiling, almost impossible.

Most people diagnosed with ALS lose the ability to use their arms in the first two years of the disease, which is why we’re asking you to drive the ball.

What would you do, while you still could?
