As a charitable organization, ALS Canada relies on the time and talents of dedicated volunteers in so many ways. Volunteers play a vital role at our office and at fundraising events. Our Board of Directors and advisors are volunteers, too!

With ALS research momentum growing and thousands of people and families with ALS benefiting from the support and services we offer, there has never been a better time to show your support of our shared cause by volunteering with ALS Canada.

Volunteer at an event

Whether at the Walk to End ALS, the ALS Canada Plane Pull or other fundraising event, volunteering can include being on a committee to help plan and execute, or pitching in on the day of to ensure it runs smoothly. Both options are a great way to make new friends and contacts, learn new skills, gain work experience or meet volunteer hour requirements for schools and community organizations.

Volunteer at our office

Filing, stuffing envelopes, and entering data are all important activities in our day-to-day work at ALS Canada and we appreciate the support of volunteers to help them get done.  There are also times when we need volunteers with special skills like photography, videography and graphic design.

ALS Canada ambassadors

ALS Canada is fortunate to have volunteer ambassadors across Ontario. They help to connect our organization with the ALS community, and are available to speak at events and help raise ALS awareness. If you would like to request an Ambassador for your event, or become one yourself, please email ambassadors@als.ca.

To apply for or to learn more about volunteer opportunities in Ontario, please email volunteer@als.ca.
